Cookeville Eye Specialists is pleased to welcome Jennifer LeAnn Peek, OD , who is a board-certified optometrist with over two and a half decades of practice, specializing in the treatment of a wide range of eye diseases, including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, macular degeneration, and dry eye syndrome.
Dr. Peek earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Chemistry from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. She then obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. During her training, Dr. Peek completed externships at Primary Eye Care Group in Brentwood, TN, Eye Health Partners in Nashville, TN, and The Eye Center at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she gained extensive experience in primary care optometry, ocular disease, low vision, pediatrics, vision therapy, contact lenses, and practice management.
In the past, Dr. Peek volunteered her expertise by providing eye exams through the Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps clinics in Cookeville, TN. She has spoken at events such as the Chemical Medical Club at Tennessee Technological University and the Cookeville Senior Center. Additionally, Dr. Peek has served as a mentor to students.
Dr. Peek enjoys gardening, kayaking, hiking, CrossFit, and traveling in her free time.
