We are proud to announce the addition of Dr. Michael Jones to our team at Cookeville Eye Specialists and Laser Center. Dr. Jones is an accomplished ophthalmologist who brings unparalleled expertise and compassionate care to his patients.
Dr. Michael Jones graduated from the St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri and later completed his Ophthalmology residency at Saint Louis University Eye Institute. During his residency, he served as Chief Resident. He completed his Medical Internship at Forest Park (Deaconess) Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, specializing in Cataracts, LASIK, Oculoplastics, Glaucoma, and Dry Eye.
Dr. Jones is married and has five children. He was one of five siblings and grew up on a family-owned beef cattle farm in central Illinois. In 2020, he purchased a farm in Baxter, TN, and returned to his farming roots. His hobbies include traveling with his wife and family, working on his farm, and powerlifting alongside his wife. He hosted a top-rated medical and technology radio show called Eye on Health in the St. Louis area for ten years before retiring from radio in 2020.
