Dr. Jones was involved in over 10 FDA phase 3 clinical trials, including trials on the new Panoptix and Vivity intraocular lens implants. He has also authored countless scholarly articles and served as editor for various ophthalmology publications. Additionally, he served on the faculty at both St. Louis University School of Medicine and Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he taught medical students and residents.
Dr. Jones is married and has five children. He was one of five siblings and grew up on a family-owned beef cattle farm in central Illinois. In a return to his farming roots, he purchased a farm in Baxter, TN in 2020 and began the process of relocating. His hobbies include traveling with his wife and family, working on his farm, and powerlifting alongside his wife. For ten years he hosted a top-rated medical and technology radio show called Eye on Health in the St. Louis area before retiring from radio in 2020.
